Charle Village Cooks $20.00 The Charles Village Civic Association publishes the "Charles Village Cooks" to celebrate the diversity and solidarity of the Charles Village community. We are proud of our neighborhood, which is distinguished not only by its historic character but also by its cultural, ethnic, and religious variety. Our cookbook, therefore, reflects a neighborhood of great institutions and vibrant, eclectic interests. In these pages you will find everything from haute cuisine by renowned city chefs to backyard favorites by long-time residents' recipes from painters, musicians, students, lawyers, professors, social workers and more. What they have in common is both a love of good food and a love for this historic community. With the publication of Charles Village Cooks, the CVCA pays homage to its first cookbook, published 25 years ago, and, at the same, acknowledges the promise of the harmonious, diverse neighborhood it preserves for the children of all Charles Village residents.
